Vacation Bible School

Doing What Is Right"Do What's Right" was the theme of our 2008 Vacation Bible School. On the left are a few children with one of the teachers. The first emphasis of the lessons was how to be in right relationship with God. Our second emphasis was how to make choices that please God. Our children learned about Ruth, who chose to serve the true God; Peter, who chose to speak God's words; Daniel and his friends, who chose to obey God rather then men and kept their lives pure; Deborah, who chose to be a Godly example; and Stephen, who chose to obey God even in persecution. The theme was enhanced by memory verses, songs, and three craft projects.

Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! Deut. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. (NASB) Deut. 6:4-7
